Failure is one of those things everyone has in common – like putting our pants on one leg at a time. It’s a human experience. Some individuals handle the experience well, others not so well. What’s the secret? How can some people bounce back so successfully after failure?

#1 They do not take the failure personally. Failure isn’t a personal attack or even a sign of any type of character flaw. There is a cliché saying something along the lines of “failure indicates you tried.” People who are actively pursuing goals and dreams are unsuccessful frequently and they understand it as part of the progression. Rather than feeling unworthy or like a failure, they will reevaluate their technique and try again.

The next time you encounter failure rather than feeling badly regarding yourself, feel good about the fact that you tried, and try again.

#2 They use the experience as a learning tool. Failure takes place, right? Why don’t you learn from the experience. Analyze what went wrong and why? What can you alter or do differently the next time? How can you use your failure to succeed?

#3 We sometimes fail for a reason. Maybe our heart really wasn’t into the work. Maybe a limiting belief prevented us from achieving success. And it sometimes wasn’t the right opportunity. Usually whenever we are unsuccessful there is a reason. Look into it and consider why. Look for new options and experiences that could bring success.

#4 Be grateful for the experience. Gratitude is a strong emotion. Feeling gratitude for the failure and the experience can help you proceed with resolve and excitement. Occasionally writing or journaling your thoughts in a positive way helps you embrace failure as a beneficial experience instead of a negative one.

#5 Understand it happens to everybody and do not hesitate to request support or advice. Among the great things about failure is it’s an equalizer. Realize that the most powerful people on earth, the most famous people have failed thousands of times. When you fail instead of internalizing it and having difficulties again and again, ask for help and guidance.

#6 Accept your inner child. Recall being a child and running with your friend? Occasionally you would fall right? What would you do? You would jump back up, not even really think about the fall and go back to running, right? Children have a knack for focusing on the fun and not allowing the failures or falls stop them. Do as the song says, “pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.” If you like what you are doing, you will not even give a failure a second thought.

#7 Laugh. We all make some mistakes and people who can laugh at themselves and their mistakes overcome them considerably faster than those that can’t.

Failure is a part of life. Accept it honestly just like you do success. Appreciate it, learn from it, and welcome it as being a lesson and an opportunity to grow.

The world consists of two types. Those who are genetically organized, and those who are not. Do you fall in the second group? Fear not! You can still keep your small business organized.

The benefits are many. A person who is organized can complete their work much more efficiently. They forget important events less. They don’t have anxious moments or feel as though they have lost control as often as someone who is disorganized. So here are some practical tips for those of us who don’t have the organizational gene built in:

Don’t Turn Your Back on a Mess at Night

Make the last task before heading out for the evening a quick few minutes to straighten your workspace. Gather your office supplies up and place them together on your desktop so they are ready to go when you return. Look for anything that doesn’t belong and move it, such as used coffee cups or an overflowing trash can.

Most important, quickly go through the papers cluttering up the desk and stack them somewhat in the order they need to be tackled in the morning. At the same time, you can quickly prepare an action plan (also known as “to-do list”) for the next day, and rank each task in order of importance.

You will find that this simple 10 minute process each evening will fire you up to jump in feet first the next day to complete what needs to be done.

Organize Work Product Using the Rule of 3

There are those who have a file folder for everything and know immediately where anything is. Then, there are the rest of us. One trick I have found helpful in organizing work papers so I can actually find them is to group them according to the rule of 3.

The idea is simple. Never have more than three piles of paperwork going at any given time. The first stack contains the most pressing items you hope to accomplish within the day. Next, are those items to accomplish sometime during the week, and the final stack contains those less pressing items to get to within the month. This may take a few minutes to create the first time, but in the long run it will save you ton of time from having to look through every paper on your desk for the one that you really need.

Don’t Wait

Ultimately, the longer you wait to find an organization system that works for you and your small business, the more opportunities you miss for your small business. A larger part of your day can be spent on making your small business succeed when you are organized. And keep in mind, what works for one person is a disaster for another. So find the system that works for you and make sure you can commit to using it every day.

The world consists of two types. Those who are genetically organized, and those who are not. Do you fall in the second group? Fear not! There is still hope for you to keep your small business organized.

There are a lot of great reasons to stay organized. A person who is organized can complete their work much more efficiently. The remember key meetings and events more often. They feel less stressed and out of control.

Throw out the trash and get rid of any used cups or other things that don’t belong.

The most critical part of this step is to gather your paperwork into a rough order of how you want to handle it the next day. While you’re at it, start a to-do list for the next day, and label each item “A” “B” or “C” depending on how important it is to complete.

You will find that this simple 10 minute process each evening will fire you up to jump in feet first the next day to complete what needs to be done.

Organize Work Product Using the Rule of 3

There are those people with organization stamped on their forehead who never waste time looking for what they need to complete a task. Then, there are the rest of us. One trick I have found helpful in organizing work papers so I can actually find them is to group them according to the rule of 3.

The idea is not tricky. Never have more than three piles of paperwork going at any given time. The first stack is your most pressing business that you hope to get through during the day. Next, are those items to accomplish sometime during the week, and the final stack contains those less pressing items to get to within the month. This can be a painful upfront process, but by taking the time to create these three stacks, you will save time in the long run from digging through piles when you are in a hurry and need some critical paper fast.

Don’t Wait

Ultimately, the longer you wait to find an organization system that works for you and your small business, the more opportunities you miss for your small business. When you are organized, a bigger part of your day can be spent on the success of your business. And remember, one person’s organization is another person’s nightmare. So find the system that works for you and make sure you can commit to using it every day.

There are two types of people in the world. First you have those who were born with the organization gene; second are those who were not. Do you fall in the second group? It’s okay! There are ways to stay organized in your small business.

There are a lot of great reasons to stay organized. An organized business person is able to get more work done in less amount of time. The remember key meetings and events more often. They are more relaxed and feel in control of their day. Below are some functional tips to keep your business organized for those of us that are organizationally challenged:

Don’t Turn Your Back on a Mess at Night

Don’t head out the door in the evening without taking a short amount of time to straighten your desk. Gather your pens, stapler, and other tools together so you can find them in the morning. Check the trash can and empty it if necessary, and remove any empty cups or other dishes that are cluttering your desk.

There will always be those people who know right where everything they need is at any time. Then, there are the rest of us. I have found the best way to organize my working papers so that I can actually find something when I need it is to use the rule of 3.

The idea is not tricky. Never have more than 3 stacks going at a time. The first stack is your most pressing business that you hope to get through during the day. Stack number 2 will hold those items you want to get to this week, and the final stack will be those less critical things you can get to within the month. You may need to dedicate some time up front to get these three stacks organized, but the time will be ultimately saved as you are able to find needed paperwork much more quickly without digging through everything on your desk.

Take Action

The bottom line is that you are losing opportunities for your small business every day that you wait to find an organization system you can work with. When you are organized, a bigger part of your day can be spent on the success of your business. But remember, one size does not fit all and what works for one would drive someone else crazy. So find the system that works for you and make sure you can commit to using it every day.

Some fitness instructors make next to nothing. These trainers say that they are in the fitness business because they love their work, not because of the money that they do, or do not, make. On the other hand, there are fitness instructors that rake in the dough. These trainers live in luxury with sweet pads and expensive cars. There are only small differences amongst these personal trainers. If you want to land the big bucks, follow these tips:

Know You’re Fully Worth It.
If you’re not providing good value no one is going to pay you good money. Furthermore, no one will believe that you’re worth the money if you don’t think you’re worth it yourself. Confidence is critical. Believe in yourself and your abilities.

Don’t Be Afraid To Charge.
Caring about people is part of being a fitness instructors. Sometimes that kindness goes to far by undervaluing what you’re worth. There’s no need to be scared to charge for your services. It’s okay to tell a client that you can’t come down on your price. If your clients are on a slim budget you can advise them to participate in group classes, which are generaly less expensive. Don’t think it’s your job to lower your prices beyond what is reasonable and fair. Remember, set your prices at what is honest for you, and know that you’re worth it.

Brand Yourself.
Why is one brand better and worth way more than no-name generic products? Image.

People think that brand names are worth more because of the image that they portray. In many cases the generic products are just as good as the brand name products, but people don’t believe that because generic products have no branding or image.

Use your personality and skills to stand out.

Find Your Niche.
In order to properly brand yourself you will need to discover your area of specialty. Think about what arena of personal training that you enjoy the most. is it trimming your weight? is it weight lifting? iis it marathon training? Whatever it is, become the best at it.

People will pay more to see a specialist for a consultation than they will pay a general practitioner for a consultation if they are dealing with neurological problems. They’re simply going to pay more for highly specialized skills. If you are the expert that your clients need, your clients will be willing to pay you just about anything.

Be Exclusive.
Celebrity personal trainers are able to charge thousands of dollars a day for their time because they don’t train just anybody. They choose who they want to train. If you’re focusing on body building, don’t go and market to people who aren’t into it. The reverse also applies. Work within your niche to gain the most notoriety. You want to be a master at something, not the jack of all trades.

Play The Part.
Be profe ssional and confident. Look, dress, and act the part of an expert trainer.

No one wants to hire a slob that can barely put together a proper sentence. Act well educated and look like you are a professional. Your certificates hanging on your wall mean nothing if your clients don’t have confidence in you. You need to exude confidence and let your clients believe that you’re the best trainer around.
